I love this honest story. Made me laugh out loud, especially the “y’all.”

Love this article! As a car guy, I am fascinated by your experience with the truck. I’ve always analyzed people‘s choices of vehicles as I believe they are basically avatars of themselves. And, I can totally relate to the persona change you felt — I get that when I drive my old truck. Though I’ve never tried dressing the part of “truck guy,” I might just give that a shot and see if my paradigm shifts.

Thanks Tom! And great point about vehicles as avatars. Some cars say everything about us without a bumper sticker.

A real out of body work

experience. Loved it!

That's the worst dad joke I've heard this week. And a keeper. Thanks!

Of course, many dudes I see in those trucks can barely get out of a Walmart parking lot when there isn’t a snowstorm. So I think you’re ok.

So funny Mark. Makes me reflect on the relationships I’ve had over the years with my pick up trucks. Sparky, the Rivian, is in a class of their own. (Fun fact- Sparky is gender nonbinary- They/Them)

My son owns a big truck. It’s embarrassing trying to get in. But, It does feel really cool to ride in that big tall truck. Thanks for a good story.

Pamela, I so agree about the embarrassing part of getting in. I drive a *slightly* lifted jeep now--a compromise between the truck and the Prius--and my wife swears out loud nearly every time she tries to pull her self up and in it.
