Chris, you’re the first to ask. I did see the driver. He walked past me in the hospital while I was sitting in a wheelchair waiting for tests. His white shirt was bloodied and he looked completely in shock. I was still pretty out of it and waved at him. I knew I knew him, but couldn’t remember how.
Yikes. And JFC. This is the second essay I’ve read of yours with my jaw on the floor. What an ordeal…I can’t even imagine going through all that. Thankfully you guys are okay and you can write about it with distance and humor. You are resilient!
